Mitchell Library Host Mobile Device Coffee Hour

Last updated on Thursday, June 6, 2013

(MITCHELL) - The Mitchell Community Public Library will be hosting a mobile device coffee hour from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on June 17.

Participants can bring in their tablets, eReaders, smart phones, etc. and receive one-on-one assistance navigating their device or test out the library's devices. No reservation is required, and assistance will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

Summer fun

Avoid the summer doldrums with fun activities each week as part of the library summer reading program.
At Make-It Mondays (3 p.m. Mondays) children ages 8 and over use imagination and engineering skills to build du jour items without instructions.

At Campfire Stories (3 p.m. Tuesdays) children ages 6-plus will hear and watch horror stories, then tell their own scary tales.

At Crafty Kids (3 p.m. Thursdays) children ages 4 and over will make the world a more artistic place by constructing crafts.

Everyone birth to 18 is encouraged to read 20 minutes per day to maximize prizes and prevent the dreaded summer slide. The program is also a great opportunity to try out fun activities each week.

The summer reading program is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
