(INDIANAPOLIS) - An early morning motorcycle crash Saturday on the Indianapolis southwest side has killed a Martinsville man.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police say 44-year-old Vincent Fargent died after he crashed his 1992 Harley Davidson motorcycle into a building at South Tibbs Avenue and West Gimber Street.

Police say he was traveling north on Tibbs Avenue about 3:17 a.m. and didn't properly navigate a curve where the road turns into Maywood Road. He went off the road and drove into Iona's Tavern.

Officials say he died at the scene.

Police say no other vehicles were involved.

The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation.
