Man Suffers Serious Injures After Crashing Car

(MITCHELL) - A Williams man was seriously injured after he crashed his car into a tree Saturday night.

According to a Lawrence County Police reports, 21-year-old Jesse Burnette, was flown by helicopter to the University of Louisville Trauma Center and is listed in stable condition.

According to police, Burnette was traveling west on Port Williams Road near Arnold Terry Lane when he lost control of his 2002 Mercury Cougar. The car went off the right side of the road and slid into the grass and then collided with a tree on the passenger side of the vehicle. That caused the vehicle to spin and come to a stop facing north.

Burnette suffered from sever bleeding and other injuries to his entire body.
