Man Says He Was Assaulted And Robbed At Peoples Park

(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington man told police he was physically assaulted and robbed by three men at Peoples Park, Wednesday night.

According to Bloomington Police Sgt. Joe Crider, the 41-year-old man told police he was in the park and got into a an argument with the three men he knew.

The man told police he attempted to leave, when the three men followed him down Kirkwood Avenue and punched and kicked him and stole his bag of personal items.

The man ran into a restaurant where a patron called police.

The man's bag was found in an alley, but the man's and his MP3 player and headphones were missing.

Crider says detectives investigating the alleged attack and robbery, were questioning the man when he then became uncooperative, refusing to give police additional information about the incident.

No arrests were made, and the case remains under investigation.
