Last updated on Friday, June 21, 2013

(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested Wednesday night after police discovered heroin at his home in the 200 block of Kentucky Hollow Road.

40-year-old Michael Wray was charged with theft, possession of a schedule I controlled substance, maintaining a common nuisance and reckless possession of paraphernalia.

Wray was arrested after police received an anonymous tip that Wray was involved in drug activity. ISP Sgt. Curt Durnil says they also realized Wray was wanted on a warrant on a theft charge in Lawrence County.

Oolitic Deputy Marshal Bill Allen and Indiana State Police Trooper Shea Teague went to Wray's home armed with an arrest and search warrant. There officers found syringes and a dark brown substance that tested positive for heroin.
