(UNDATED) - The following is a list of upcoming festivals.

Oolitic Festival, June 15

The Oolitic Festival will kick on June 15 when it celebrates community pride with a parade, food, kids games and fireworks.

Games, rides and vendors open at 10 a.m. and end around 5 p.m. Food vendors include the Oolitic Kiwanis fish stand.

Games include inflatables, a Kid Zone for ages 2-5 and a few mechanical rides for older kids.
The parade is at 2 p.m. with the lineup at noon.

Fireworks begin around 9:30 p.m. at Dollens Elementary/Oolitic Middle School.

Springville Heritage Festival, June 20-22.

Bed races, which drew big crowds in the 1980s, are returning to the festival. Also, the festival will feature gospel and bluegrass music, a baby contest, a 5K race, a silent auction, a cruise-in, golf scramble, flea markets and a kiss the pig contest. (Candidates include Max and Sherry Shelton, Layne Reynolds, Dee Kinman and Denny Godsey.)

The annual parade will be June 22 at 2 p.m. The finals of the bed race will follow at 4 p.m.
On June 15, there will be a golf scramble at Hidden Hills Golf Course, call Melissa Matson, 583-2033, for details.

Judah Heritage Festival, June 27-29

Jason Sturgeon will headline the Judah Heritage Festival, performing June 29. Fireworks will begin at dark on June 29.
The festival will include a variety of musical acts, a car show, flea markets, food vendors, Judah Idol, corn hole and cupcake competitions,a 5K walk/run and a tractor pull for kids.
Proceeds go toward a community park.

BBQ at the Quarry, June 28-29

This cook-off, taking place on the Lawrence County Courthouse Square in Bedford, features the culinary talents of folks who know how to make meat sizzle. The event will also feature concerts both nights, as well as a beer garden. A car show will highlight Saturday's festivities.

Limestone Carving exhibit, June 28-29

Taking place at the Lawrence County Museum of History, this event will showcase area carvers' talents. From page A1
The event will be 5-8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Limestone Heritage Festival, July 4

The parade through Bedford will kick off at noon with the Lady Stars as the grand marshal for the event. Fireworks will take place at dark at the Parkview track.
