(MARTINSVILLE) - Gas prices in central Indiana are near $4 a gallon and some parts of the state are seeing even higher prices.
Gas prices in Martinsville have spiked to nearly $4.30 a gallon for regular gas.
That is 34 cents above the state average.
AAA reported the jump in gas prices across the state was due to maintenance work being done on refineries.
They said the work should be completed by the end of June.
