Last updated on Friday, June 14, 2013

(BLOOMFIELD) - A heavy guarded Jordan Burskirk and Randal Crosley were formally charged with murder of 19-year-old Katelyn Wolfe.

The men appeared in separate hearings Friday morning.

Both men were charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder, conspiracy to commit rape and criminal confinement.

Superior Court Judge Dena Martin ordered both defendants held without bond.

Judge Martin appointed public defenders for both men.

Greene County Public Defender Alan Baughman will Crosley, while Jacob Fish was appointed to serve as legal counsel for Buskirk.

A preliminary plea of not guilty was entered on behalf of both men.

They're both scheduled back in court Aug. 5.

Family members associated with the case and a large number of media representatives attended the hearings.

Several media representatives attempted to stop Gilbert Buskirk, Jordan's father, for comment as he left the courthouse - he broke down in tears.
