Last updated on Tuesday, June 11, 2013

(BLOOMINGTON) - Three people were arrested after they stole a television Sunday night.

According to Bloomington Police Sgt. Joe Crider, officers received a call reporting three suspicious men carrying a television near 19th and Washington streets.

Police after talking to witnesses, were led to an apartment near that location.

When officers knocked on the door a 22-year-old woman answered. One of the men involved in the theft, Timothy Taylor, ran from the scene.

Police were able to capture him and he was arrested on charges of theft, burglary and resisting arrest.

Two other men Calvin Berry and David Freeman were also arrested and charged with burglary.

Crider says the men were knocking on doors to see if someone was home and then checking to doors to find one unlocked. The men would then enter and steal items.

Besides a television police recovered a Toshiba laptop computer and a Playstation 3.
