(BLOOMFIELD) - A Bloomfield deputy escaped injury after his patrol car got sucked into a ditch Friday morning.
According to Bloomfield Town Marshal Kenneth Tharp, Deputy Anthony Bower was traveling on State Road 54, just east of Bloomfield when he got too close to the shoulder of the road and it sucked him into the ditch.
Bower was not injured, but the vehicle did have some damage to the body of the vehicle.
