(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested after he had intercourse with a 14-year-old girl and got her pregnant.
23-year-old Mason Reynolds, of 2107 H St., was charged with sexual misconduct with a minor.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Mason had intercourse with the girl twice.
On April 17, a Child Protective Service caseworker contacted the Bedford Police Department to report the incident.
Detectives met with the girl and her mother. During an interview with the child, she confirmed that she was pregnant and that Mason was the father of her unborn child. She told police she had sex with Mason at his house and then on one other occasion. She also told police that Mason knew she was only 14.
The girl is about three months pregnant.
Officers received a medical report from Southern Indiana Pediatrics to confirm she is pregnant.
