Bedford Farmers Market Temporarily Relocated This Weekend

Last updated on Friday, June 28, 2013

(BEDFORD) - Saturday is Bedford’s BBQ at the Quarry on the west side of the Lawrence County Courthouse Square, so the farmers’ market will set up on the east side for this special weekend.

There should be lots of produce, as the gardens seem to be growing nicely this year.

Dusty Arthur will have lacinato kale available. New potatoes are showing up at the market, and there is a possibility of green beans, too. Rainey Farm is bringing the last-of-season gooseberries and first-of-season blueberries this weekend.

New vendors are joining the market every week. It costs $10 for the whole season to join.

Contact Allison Roodschild at 276-5632 or Kortni Peek at 834-5660 if you want to join, or if you want to play music at the market.

The Saturday market is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
