(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man suffered minor injuries after the grain truck he was driving hit two trees Monday.

According to a Lawrence County Police report, 67-year-old William Ingram, of 4532 Sandpit Road, was traveling west on Old U.S. 50 East in an 1966 International grain truck when another vehicle traveling east crossed the center line and Ingram had to pull the truck to the side of the road to avoid a collision.

The grain truck went off the north side of the roadway for about 35 feet before hitting two trees on the passenger side of the truck.

That collision caused the truck to spill fuel on the roadway. Guthrie Volunteer Fire Department firefighters were called to the scene to clean up the fuel spill.

Ingram complained of shoulder and arm pain, but refused medical attention at the scene.
