Washington Firefighters Honored For Heroism

(WASHINGTON) - Washington Mayor Joe Wellman and Washington Fire Chief David Rhoads recognized several firefighters for their heroism after coming to the aid of residents in three separate fires.

Firefighters Jeremy Newberry and Barry Andis, were honored for rescuing a man from the porch roof of a burning house on S.E. 7th Street on April 4, 2012.

Firefighters Chris Craig, Chris Clymer, and Stephen Walden were honored for pulling an injured man from a burning house on S.W. 3rd Street on April 14, 2012.

And Firefighters Steve Hedrick, Dwayne Murphy and Kevin Pride were honored for the rescue of a woman from a burning apartment at 112 E. Main Street.
