(BEDFORD) - The Lawrence County Police Department DARE program recently graduated 250 fifth grade students in the DARE curriculum.
The county DARE essay winner is Samuel St. John from Mary Pritchett's class at Springville.
His essay was titled 'What DARE Means To Me' has been submitted in the state essay contest.
Samuel received an engraved plaque for his efforts and his class will receive a pizza party.
