Last updated on Monday, May 13, 2013

(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County Police are investigating a burglary at a home on U.S. 50 that happened on Friday.

According to Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craig police were called to the home at 9:05 p.m. when a man in a blue truck got stuck in the yard.

"The man told officers that he had almost hit a dog and stopped at the home to see if the dog belong to the resident," Craig says. "There was no injured dog at the scene. The man then got stuck in the yard, when he says he attempted to turn around."

Police also located a trailer at the home that did not belong to the homeowner.

"We are still trying to determine who owns the trailer," Craig says.

Officers say several items were missing from the garage.

"The case is still under investigation and no arrests have been made at this time," Craig says.

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department.
