Police Break Up Fight During Visitation At Jail

Last updated on Wednesday, May 8, 2013

(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County Police were called to the upper lobby of the Sheriff’s Department after a report of a fight between two women during visitation hours.

According to Sheriff Sam Craig, officers broke up the fight and then told the two women they had to leave.

"Officers escorted them to their vehicles," Craig says. "I am still gathering information on what happened."

Craig says behavior like this will not be tolerated and if fights start those involved could be arrested and or they could lose their visitation privileges.

Craig says the incident is under investigation.
