National Day Of Prayer Thurday At Crossroads Church

(BEDFORD) - The National Day of Prayer committee for Lawrence County will have a community National Day of Prayer service at 7 p.m. Thursday at Crossroads Church.

Guest speakers will be State Rep. Eric Koch, Bedford Mayor Shawna Girgis, North Lawrence School Superintendent Dr. Dennis Turner, Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craig, Superior Court I Judge Michael Robbins and National Day of Prayer supporter Nita Scoggan.

Crossroads is at the corner of State Road 37 and Trogden Lane, north of Bedford.

Other area remembrances are as follows:

* Mitchell residents can go to Mitchell City Hall and gather around the flag pole from 12:20-12:40 p.m. Thursday. Area ministers invite residents to pray for the city, state and country.

* Orleans residents may visit the prayer wall set up in downtown Orleans now through Friday. Participants may offer a prayer or can request someone to pray with them. On Thursday at 7 p.m. there will be group prayer time.
