Mitchell Library Looking For Tech-Savvy Volunteers

Last updated on Saturday, May 18, 2013

(MITCHELL) - The Mitchell Community Public Library is looking for tech-savvy volunteers to help train other people in using programs such as Skype and Facebook.

It's also looking for people to sign up for the classes to learn about programs.

Registration is required for any program.

The Skype session is at 3 p.m. Tuesday. Participants will create accounts and video chat with each other.

To learn about Facebook, visit the library at 3 p.m. May 23. Again, participants will create accounts and learn about privacy settings.

Additionally, the library is circulating Kill-A-Watt voltage meters that patrons can check out in order to identify who's using the most energy in a home.

Summer reading
The summer reading program, Dig Into Reading, will start June 3 and end July 27. It can be previewed at http://tiny.cc/ap92ww.

The book fair will be from Aug. 1-3.

Audiobooks
New audiobooks at the library for teenagers are: "Code Name Verity," by Elizabeth Wein; "See You at Harry's," by Jo Knowles; "Unstoppable: the Incredible Power of Faith in Action," by Nick Vujicic; and "Time Between Us," by Tamara Ireland Stone.
