Michigan Man Arrested After Damaging Signs

(WASHINGTON) - Just after 9 p.m. Wednesday, the Washington Police Department received a call reporting that a man was rolling around on the ground and damaging signs in front of several businesses on East National Highway.

When police arrived, they found, 27-year-old Michael Dunkley, Jr., of Traverse City, Michigan, who then ran from them.

He was apprehended in the parking lot of Mason's Root Beer Stand after a brief skirmish.

Officers found a sign for Kavanaugh Lawn Service, along with signs in front of McDonald's, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Pizza Hut damaged.

Dunkley was arrested and charged with resisting law enforcement, disorderly conduct, public intoxication, and four counts of criminal mischief. He is being held in the Daviess County Security Center on $14,000 bond.
