Idalene Kesner To Be Next Dean Of Kelley School Of Business

Last updated on Sunday, May 12, 2013

(BLOOMINGTON) - Indiana University has chosen interim dean Idalene Kesner to become the next dean of its Kelley School of Business.

IU executive vice president and Bloomington campus provost Lauren Robel says she will recommend the university trustees approve Kesner at their next meeting June 20-21.

Kesner was associate dean of faculty and research and the Frank Popoff Chair of Strategic Management before becoming interim dean when predecessor Dan Smith left last October to become president of the IU Foundation.

IU President Michael A. McRobbie says Kesner is an internationally recognized business scholar and a renowned teacher who has had several key leadership roles during her 18 years at the Kelley School.

IU says Kesner's appointment comes after an exhaustive national search.
