Greene County Sheriff Pierce Receives VFW National Law Enforcement Award

(BLOOMFIELD) - Greene County Sheriff Terry Pierce was awarded the prestigious "VFW National Law Enforcement Award" from the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

The award presented by the Indiana VFW State Commander Rodney Funk.

Funk says only one law enforcement officer from the entire state receives this award each year to recognize them for their dedication to duty and commitment to the community they serve.

The recipients are nominated by local VFW Posts -- Pierce was nominated by Worthington VFW Post 7117.
