(BEDFORD) - The North Lawrence School Board unanimously voted to promote Assistant Superintendent Gary Conner to superintendent Thursday night.
Conner will follow current Superintendent Dennis Turner, who will retire effective July 1.
Board members praised Conner's effectiveness and integrity. Turner saluted the board's decision.
