(UNDATED) - Want to fish for free? Well, you can on May 18 because it's Free Fishing Day in Indiana.

Clint Kowalik, the state Department of Natural Resources Go FishIN coordinator, says you will not need a fishing license or a trout/salmon stamp to fish the state's public waters that day. This will be the second of four Free Fishing Days this year. The first one was on April 20.

As part of a new urban fishing program, DNR will be stocking catchable-size channel catfish in many city park ponds across the state on Free Fishing Day. The program is called GO FishIN in the city. Its mission is to expand fishing opportunities for people who live in Indiana's urban areas.
