Bowden Celebrity Golf Tournament To Aid Youths

(BEDFORD) - The first Craig Bowden Celebrity Golf Tournament is scheduled for June 22 at Otis Park Golf Course.

The tournament is sponsored by Bedford Ford Lincoln and the city of Bedford, and will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence County endowment fund.

A celebrity shootout is slated for 9 a.m., with lunch served at 11:30 a.m., and the tournament starting at 1 p.m.

The tentative list of celebrities includes Clayton Anderson, Damon Bailey, Quinn Buckner, Calbert Cheaney, Chad Collins, Dan Dakich, Brian Evans, Don Fisher, Ted Kitchel, John Laskowski, Scott May, Matt Mayberry, Scott Rolen, Anthony Thompson, Jerry Yeagley and Todd Yeagley.

A hole-in-one prize of a new car will be provided by Bedford Ford Lincoln, while other prizes include a foursome on the Donald Ross Course, a foursome on the Sultan's Run Course, and one night stay for four guests (two rooms) from the French Lick Springs Resort; golf at TPC Sawgrass, a foursome on The Stadium Course, and a foursome on The Dye's Valley Course from The PGA Tour; a signed basketball from Charles Barkley; signed baseball equipment from Scott Rolen; a foursome and instruction from Craig Bowden, and golf equipment from Craig Bowden.

Sponsorships are available at several levels: $2,000 Platinum includes two foursomes and one hole sponsorship; $1,000 Gold includes one foursome and one hole sponsorship; $750 Silver includes one foursome; $500 includes food & beverage sponsorship or carts sponsorship; and $200 includes a hole sponsorship.
