Bedford Man Arrested After Fleeing Accident Scene

(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested after police determined he was intoxicated and he attempted to leave the scene of an accident Tuesday night.

According to a Bedford Police reports, officers were alerted about the accident at 10:57 pm that happened in the 1400 block of O Street.

Police say 19-year-old Tyler Inman, of 918 O Street, was traveling south on O Street in a 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier when he went through the intersection of 14th and O streets and hit two parked vehicles. One of the vehicles belongs to John Williams Jr. who lives on 14th Street. The owner or model of the other vehicle was not listed on the police report.

Inman, who was intoxicated, then fled the scene and was found by police about a block away from the accident.

He was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident, illegal consumption, operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangerment, public intoxication, resisting arrest by fleeing and open alcohol container.
