(WASHINGTON) - A semi accident resulted in several businesses and homes, east of Washington to be without power Saturday morning.
At 8:40 a.m. William Sexton, of Loogootee, was driving a 2004 Mack truck hauling a load of coal south on County Road 350 East when he went over the railroad tracks the trailer's wheels slid into a ditch.
The truck then sideswiped a utility pole and broke a second pole in half, then flipped on its side, spilling coal in the roadway. The truck then slid to a stop against a third utility pole.
Sexton was not injured in the crash.
Washington utility workers had a new pole up and the power restored to the area just before noon.
