Security Guard Robbed At United Gypsum Plant In Shoals

(SHOALS) - The Martin County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a robbery that happened at the guard building at the United Gypsum Plant in Shoals.

According to a press release, officers were called to the plant at 9:05 pm, Saturday.

Deputy Damon Baker says a man entered the guard building demanding money or debit cards from the security officer on duty. The suspect was not given any money or debit cards and left.

The man is 25 to 30-year-old man is white, about six-foot-tall and of medium build. He was wearing a black ski mask, a green hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans and left in a dark blue or black 1997 to 2003 model Dodge Durango.
