Orleans Officials Warn Resident About Littering Town Park Square

(ORLEANS) - Orleans town officials have received numerous complaints from residents, downtown merchants and business owners about an increased amount of trash and litter in the historic town park square area.

Park users are reminded that littering is strictly prohibited and are asked to properly dispose of their trash items in an effort to keep the park area a clean and inviting place for everyone.

The town park square is monitored 24 7 and anyone caught trashing or damaging public property may be subject to a fine.

In addition park patrons are reminded for general safety and pursuant to Town of Orleans ordinances, the following is prohibited in the historic town park square area skateboards, bikes, scooters, and skates.

Bike racks are provided on both the south and north sides of the park.

All pets must be kept on a leash.
