Opportunity Fair On Workforce Needs

(CRANE) - An Opportunity Fair and Reception will take place from 6-8 p.m. May 1 at the WestGate Academy Conferencing and Training Center.

This marks the second year for the spring event, which is hosted by Greene Education Services.

The public is invited to attend. Reservations are required by Friday and can be arranged by calling (812) 659-1300, ext. 1 or directing email to bscott@wrv.k12.in.us.

As part of the event, Green Education Services will highlight all of the educational programs and initiatives the organization has sponsored.

In addition, area businesses and industries will showcase work they do in the region and will share information about current and projected workforce needs, career opportunities and educational attainment necessary to fill workforce needs in the area.

William "Benny" McNeely, president of Bloomfield State Bank and chairman of the Greene Education Services board of directors will speak, and Stephen Ferguson, chairman of the board for Cook Group, Inc. of Bloomington. will follow as the keynote speaker. Donald Schulte, executive director of WestGate Academy, also will address those attending.
