(BEDFORD) - The National Day of Prayer Committee for Lawrence County invites county residents to attend the community National Day of Prayer service at 7 p.m. Thursday at Crossroads Church.
This year's theme is "Pray for America."
A press release states, "In light of the past few years evil is ever present in our world. We see that in Newtown Conn., Boston, Mass., and the threats from North Korea. If we ever needed to come together and pray for our nation it is now."
Guest speakers will be state Rep. Eric Koch, Bedford Mayor Shawna Girgis, North Lawrence School Superintendent Dennis Turner, Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craig, Lawrence Superior Court I Judge Michael Robbins and National Day of Prayer supporter Nita Scoggan.
Crossroads Church is at State Road 37 and Trogdon Lane between Bedford and Bloomington.
