(MITCHELL) - A Mitchell man was arrested this morning after he got into a domestic fight with his girlfriend and threatened to harm her with a knife.
According to Mitchell Police Chief Mike Hardman, Lawrence County dispatch received a 911 call from a distraught woman reporting her boyfriend was intoxicated and had a knife and was going to hurt her.
When police arrived at Permission Park Apartments, the male had left, but they found 20-year-old Jonathon Cleek behind the apartment building.
Police confirmed Cleek had a knife. No one suffered serious injuries.
Cleek was arrested for domestic battery in the presents of a minor and illegal consumption.
He was taken to the Lawrence County Jail at 4:35 am.
