(BLOOMINGTON) - Indiana Conservation officers are looking into the death of a kayaker on the Monroe Reservoir Friday afternoon.
Authorities say -year old David Kortenhoeven of Schererville lost consciousness while sitting in his kayak and rolled into the water. Two bystanders pulled him from the water and attempted CPR until EMS arrived.
Medics were unable to revive Kortenhoeven and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
An autopsy is pending.
