French Lick Springs Resort Receives WorkOne Achievement Award

(INDIANAPOLIS) - French Lick Springs Resort received a WorkOne Achievement Award last week for partnering with WorkOne to create employment opportunities for local Hoosiers

The award was presented in a ceremony at the Indiana Statehouse.

French Lick Springs Resort has been in existence for over a century. As a pre-eminent employer in Orange County, the Resort attracts hundreds of candidates for their open job positions. The Resort employs more than 1,000 Hoosiers and continues to be a travel destination for thousands around the country.

"French Lick Springs Resort continues to make a profound economic impact in Orange County area," said Scott B. Sanders, Commissioner of the Department of Workforce Development. "They serve as an excellent example of how partnering with WorkOne benefits employers, job seekers and the community."

French Lick Springs Resort has partnered with WorkOne to find the best qualified candidates in their area. They have utilized candidate recruitment, application pre-screening, job fairs, WorkKeys applicant assessments and a variety of other services to best serve their business and community.

The Resort continues to work closely with WorkOne to recruit and assess workers for future openings.

Twelve awards were presented to employers who partner with WorkOne for their contribution to growing Indiana's economy and commitment to their community.

Twelve individuals were also presented with WorkOne Achievement Awards for their outstanding accomplishments while participating in the workforce development system.

An individual and employer were also presented awards for their participation in the Hoosier Initiative for Re-Entry (HIRE) program.

The HIRE program is a collaborative effort between WorkOne, the Indiana Department of Corrections and participating Indiana employers to educate, train and successfully transition eligible ex-offenders from incarceration back into society and employment.
