Blair Carman To Perform Tonight At PAC

Last updated on Friday, April 19, 2013

(BEDFORD) - Piano player Blair Carman will perform tonight in the final act in the 2012-2013 Lawrence County Concert Association series.

Carman's performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Bedford North Lawrence High School Performing Arts Center.

Carman's material is likened to the 1957 hands of Jerry Lee Lewis and the 1957 look of Elvis Presley and combining the "raw energy" of the two.

Tickets cost $20 each and will be available at the door for those who are not LCCA season subscribers. The concert is free to any Lawrence County student who presents a valid student identification card.

LCCA will offer a lobby concert from 6:30-7:30 p.m. that will feature the Sad Sam Blues Jam. The duo is made up of sisters, 16-year-old Sadie Johnson, on lead guitar and vocals, and 17-year-old Samantha Johnson on bass. They are being sponsored by Salt Creek Brewery.

An art exhibit of an estimated 400 masterpieces done by Bedford North Lawrence students will be on display in the lobby for concert-goers to view. The art is by students at all grade levels in the NLCS system.
