(SPRINGVILLE) - A Bedford man was injured after he fell asleep while driving Tuesday.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 21-year-old Richard Shaw was traveling east on Ind. 54 when he fell asleep and crashed his 1995 Chevrolet Camaro into a tree.
According to police, Shaw's car went off the south side of the road near Greer Lane and the passenger side of the vehicle hit a tree.
Shaw suffered bruises and cuts to his lower arm and to his head.
