(BEDFORD) - 18-year-old Skylar Schofield, of Bedford was arrested Friday on charges of child molesting after he allegedly had sex with a 13-year-old girl.
He is facing two counts of child molesting, intimidation, battery resulting in bodily injury and petition to revoke a suspended sentence, from an earlier possession of meth charge.
On Monday, three new charges were filed against Schofield those include possessing meth, resisting law enforcement and possessing marijuana.
According to a probable cause affidavit the crimes happened between March 21 and March 30. Police began investigating after a battery complaint.
Lawrence County police officers interviewed a 15-year-old girl who says Schofield became angry at her and another girl because they would not let "Skylar's girlfriend" into the residence because Schofield's mother had told them the girl was too young to be dating Skylar.
When the two girls tried to keep the third girl out of house, Schofield allegedly shoved one onto a couch and swung his firsts at her. He then pushed a second girl and hit her in the mouth. He then allegedly threatened to slit their throats as they slept.
Police interviewed the 13-year-old who admitted dating Schofield for nine days. She told police the two had sexual intercourse and performed other sex acts on each other.
Schofield also admitted that the two had sex, and that he knew she was only 13.
