(WAVERLY) - A fatal crash just before 7:30 pm Sunday on State Road 37 at Big Bend Road, just south of Waverly resulted in the death of 94-year-old Helen M. Sutton, of Greenwood.

According to an Indiana State Police report, Sutton was traveling east on Big Bend Road, when she failed to yield her 2006 Ford to a southbound State Road 37, 2003 Chevrolet driven by 21-year-old Caitlyn Hinshaw, of Middletown.

The T-bone fashion crash that resulted, sent Sutton's Ford into the northbound lanes of State Road 37, fatally wounding Sutton.
