(WASHINGTON) - A Washington man has been charged with attempting to get narcotics with a forged prescription.
Monday morning, Williams Brothers' Pharmacy called the Washington Police Department saying they had a forged prescription.
Larry R. Bentley, of Washinsgton, had presented a prescription for Loritabs at
the pharmacy and the pharmacy questioned the script.
The prescription was from a Jasper doctor and Washington detectives contacted the doctor's office and the Jasper Police Department.
Jasper Police said they were investigating the theft of a pad of prescriptions that happened a week ago.
The doctor's office told police, Bentley had been prescribed some medications but none of those were for narcotics.
Police learned that Bentley lso presented a prescription for Loritabs at CVS in Washington.
Bentley was arrested and charged with forgery, and conspiracy to commit forgery for a schedule II controlled subtance.
