(GUTHRIE) - Two Bedford teens were injured after the car they were riding in went down an embankment Saturday night.

According to a Lawrence County Police report, 18-year-old Makenzie East, of Bedford, was traveling north on Hayes Road when she drove her 2005 Ford Focus off the east side of the road over-corrected and ran off the west side of the road and hit a bridge guard rail.

The car then went down the embankment and stopped near the creek.

East complained of back pain and her passenger 18-year-old Allison Phillips, of Bedford, suffered abrasions to her knee and lower leg.
