(BEDFORD) - Three North Lawrence Career Center students have each won $2,500 scholarships to Vincennes University.
The scholarships are a result of the District SkillsUSA competition held recently at VU. To qualify for the scholarships, a student must place 1st in their skill area.
The winners were: Nathan Askins in Electronics Technology, Fox George in Architectural Drafting, and Thomas Nordhoff in Technical Drafting.
To qualify for State Competition, a student must finish in the top four at the District Competition.
Additional State qualifiers were: Logan Mounce in Welding, Stephen Drake in Residential Wiring, Josh Johnson and Andrew Lucero-Tirey in Residential Plumbing, Cori Bower and William Wade in Technical Drafting, and Kolter Sokeland in Architectural Drafting.
State level competition will be held later this spring.
