Three Arrested For Check Fraud In Seymour

(SEYMOUR) - Three Kentucky residents were arrested for check fraud Tuesday after trying to pass checks at The Peoples Bank branch on Seymour’s east side, police reported.

Eric A. Phillips, 37, and Christopher A. Gibson, 21, both of Louisville, and Ashley B. Stacy of Irvine, Ky., were arrested on charges of fraud on a financial institution and check fraud. The trio, booked into the Jackson County Jail in Brownstown on Tuesday evening, have yet to face initial court appearances
.
Seymour Officer Brandon White said the arrests occurred after the department received information on Monday about fraudulent checks being passed by two people at The Peoples Bank branch at 1425 E. Tipton St. and at the bank's Crothersville branch.
