(WASHINGTON) - A weekend traffic stop resulted in drug and gun charges for three men.
Just after midnight Saturday, Washington Police Officers initiated a traffic stop on a 2000 Buick, at the intersection of West Main and North West 8th Street in Washington.
When officers approached the car, they found the driver, 18-year-old Colt McDaniel of Bloomfield, was intoxicated.
McDaniel was arrested on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated on a controlled substance, endangering a person, and maintaining a common nuisance.
During the investigation, one of McDaniel's passengers, 20-year-old Lucas James Cunningham of Odon, was found with a handgun.
Cunningham was arrested on charges of possession of a handgun without a license, reckless possession of paraphernalia, obstruction of justice, and maintaining a common nuisance.
The other passenger in the car, 18-year-old Kenneth Fielder, of Bloomfield, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of meth, and possession of paraphernalia, and visiting a common nuisance.
All three men were booked into the Daviess County Security Center.
McDaniel and Fielder have been released on bond. No bond was set for Cunningham.
