(BEDFORD) - The Salvation Army Hidden Falls Camp intends to participate in the 2013 USDA Summer Food Service Program, providing free and low-cost meals to eligible children who are registered campers at Hidden Falls Camp this summer.

Unlike a similar program at Bedford Middle School, this program is not open to the public. The program will provide breakfast, lunch and dinner to registered campers at staff.

Free meals are provided to registered campers meeting the free or reduced eligibility guidelines.

The guidelines for eligibility are consistent with the National School Lunch Program and are based on income criteria provided by campers with their registration forms. It is required that every camper have completed a summer food service program eligibility form.

Children who are part of households that receive food stamps, or benefits under the Food Distribution Program on Indian reservations, or Temporary Assistance to Needy Families are automatically eligible.

Meals will be provided to campers at Hidden Falls Camp during camp sessions as follows: breakfast -- 8:30-9 a.m.; lunch -- 12:30-1:15 p.m.; and dinner, 5:30-6:15 p.m. This schedule is subject to change as noted in the weekly camp schedule.
