(CRANE) -The Ride 2 Recovery, produced by the Fitness Challenge Foundation in conjunction with the Military and VA Volunteer Service Office has been cancelled this year.
The ride benefits mental and physical rehabilitation programs for America's wounded veterans.
The 2013 Honor Ride at Crane was previously slated to happen on May 18. However, because of the impact of the sequestration on federal government activities, the Crane ride has been canceled for this year.
Crane has contributed nearly $140,000 over the course of the years, because of the honor rides, toward the physical and psychological rehabilitation programs for injured service men and women.
