Bicknell Man Arrested After Stabbing Step-Father With Scissors

(BICKNELL) - A Bicknell man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his stepfather with scissors.

Around 10:30 Tuesday night, Indiana State and Bicknell Police responded to 307 East 2nd Street in Bicknell for a fight in progress. When officers arrived they found 22-year old Tyson Hartzburg inside the residence and extremely intoxicated. Officers discovered that Hartzburg had stabbed his step-father Lee Miller with a pair of scissors during an argument. Hartzburg also allegedly threatened to kill his parents. Miller received a minor injury to his arm and was not hospitalized.

Police also found drug paraphernalia that allegedly belonged to Hartzburg. Hartzburg was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital to be checked out - then transported to the Knox County Jail where he's being held on bond. He's charged with aggravated battery, intimidation and possession of paraphernalia.
