Last updated on Tuesday, February 12, 2013

(UNDATED) - WorkOne-Southern Indiana is launching a new Customer Service Training Program designed to assist job seekers with gaining skills needed for one of the area’s most in-demand occupations.

The intensive, five-day training program provides individuals with skills such as: keyboarding, Microsoft Office programs, telephone etiquette, sales techniques, handling call center scenarios, demonstration of customer service techniques, best practices in customer service, conflict resolution, and handling stress...just to name a few.

The program is free to job seekers enrolled in the WorkOne Workforce Investment Act program.

Customer service representatives are among the top-ten positions posted by employers in Indianacareerconnect.com, the Indiana state job matching system. In addition, a Careerbuilder.com 2013 Job Forecast Report indicates that Customer service positions are one of the top positions that employers will hire for this year.

Job seekers should contact their local WorkOne Center for additional information about the WorkOne Customer Service Training Program.
