(BEDFORD) - On Tuesday, participating Elementary Schools in the county will send their Elementary School Champions to compete for the Elementary Spelling Bee Championship at Shafer Auditorium.

Then on Wednesday, the Elementary Spelling Bee Champion will join the participating Middle School contestants from all over the county, to compete in the overall county competition. Those students will then compete to become the Lawrence County Spelling Bee Champion who will represent our community at the Regional Spelling Bee in Louisville, KY.

Show Your Support

1340 AM WBIW invites friends, family and other members of the community to come out each day to support our local youth.

These kids have worked hard to continue their education and need your support at this event.

The event is free to the general public and the contest begins promptly at 4:30pm. The event will be over at the conclusion of the trophy ceremony once a winner is determined.

If you can't make it to the live event, tune in after 6pm for the re-broadcast on both Tuesday and Wednesday nights to find out who will be our next Lawrence County Spelling Bee Champion.
