Washington Woman Arrested On Auto Theft Charges

(WASHINGTON) - A Washington woman suspected of shoplifting at a local store was arrested on a Warrick County warrant for auto theft.

Over the weekend, employees at The End Zone in Washington reported that someone had stolen apparel from the local business

They also reported seeing the stolen item being worn in pictures on social media sites and were able to give police a name

Around 4:40 p.m. Monday, 18-year-old Paige Leeann Simmons returned to the End Zone for a tanning session. While she was tanning, End Zone employees notified Washington Police officers.

During the investigation, police discovered Simmons was wanted on a warrant for auto theft in Warrick County. Simmons was arrested and taken to jail.

The case is still under investigation.
