Last updated on Thursday, February 7, 2013

(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was cited after a rear-end collision at the intersection of Ind. 37 and John Williams Boulevard Wednesday morning.

According to a Bedford Police report, 72-year-old Larry Burns, of Springville was stopped at the light on Ind. 37 when his 2000 Chevrolet pickup was hit in the rear.

42-year-old Scott Diamond, of Bloomington, says he did not realize the light was red and it had just turned green and misjudged the distance between the vehicles when he hit Burns' truck with his 2009 Volkswagen.

Both Diamond and Burns complained of back pain.

Diamond was cited for speeding too fast to prevent an accident.
